Matthew Scott

Matthew graduated from Harper Adams University in 2017 as part of the first cohort undergoing undergraduate training for veterinary physiotherapy. After graduation he worked as the in house physiotherapist at the Animal Health Trust’s (AHT) small animal referral centre. Following the closure of the AHT, Matthew co-founded an independent veterinary rehabilitation centre in Suffolk and is now heading up the physiotherapy service at the Queen’s Veterinary School Hospital (University of Cambridge). In 2025, he completed the Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP) programme through the University of Tennessee and Veterinary Academy of Higher Learning (VAHL). Matthew is Chair of the National Association of Veterinary Physiotherapists (NAVP), Board Member for the Animal Health Professions Register (AHPR), and member of the Veterinary Osteoarthritis Alliance (VOA) and International Association of Veterinary Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy (IAVRPT). In his current clinical practice, Matthew see’s a wide variety of patients including cruciate ligament injuries, osteoarthritis, athletes/sports medicine, and spinal cord injuries, with neurological cases being of particular interest. Matthew has written several articles for Animal Therapy Magazine and regularly provides online and practical CPD on small animal rehabilitation to other veterinary professionals both nationally and internationally.
