Kirsty-Jane Powell-Palmer is the founder of Fur Ability Animal Rehabilitation and has over 15 years of experience in the veterinary industry. She qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2007 and completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Veterinary Physiotherapy in 2013. Originally from the UK, she relocated to Nova Scotia in 2017. Her professional background includes work in charity practice, general practice, referral centres, emergency hospitals, and a specialist integrative medicine facility. She established Fur Ability Animal Rehabilitation three years ago. Kirsty-Jane integrates her training in veterinary nursing and physiotherapy to deliver evidence-based rehabilitation and conditioning programs. While practicing independently, she works collaboratively with primary care veterinarians and a range of specialists to support an interdisciplinary approach to patient care. She is also a Certified Canine Fitness Trainer with a particular interest in injury prevention, performance conditioning, and long-term musculoskeletal health.
