Lorna Brokenshire-Dyke

Lorna is both a practising equine veterinary surgeon and a practising equine veterinary physiotherapist. She works as an ambulatory sports and leisure horse vet at Rossdales Newmarket and provides veterinary physiotherapy and acupuncture services through her own practice, Equilibre Vet. Lorna has been the President of the National Association of Veterinary Physiotherapists since 2023 and proudly supports the association’s work. Areas covered: Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, South West Norfolk and North Essex. Further distances considered on request, availability and case dependent.
Lorna has a particular interest in orthopaedic and poor performance investigations, as well as rehabilitation following injury and performance maintenance in sports and leisure horses. She enjoys working with horses of all types — from dressage, show jumping, and eventing horses to draft horses and children’s ponies.
In her own words: “Clients particularly appreciate the fact that I am both a veterinary surgeon and a veterinary physiotherapist. Combining these two disciplines certainly makes me stronger in each and gives me a broader perspective. My most recent training has been in veterinary acupuncture which is proving to be incredibly valuable for specific cases.” Qualifications: BA (Hons) Equine Science (2000); MA (Cantab) Veterinary and Medical Sciences (2006); VetMB Veterinary Medicine (2009); PGDip Veterinary Physiotherapy (2022); MSc Veterinary Physiotherapy (2023).
