Supplements are routinely included in musculoskeletal health management plans. But is this historical habit or wise decision making?
Hannah qualified from Cambridge University in 2002 and has worked in a large variety of practices and roles from sole charge first opinion to teamwork emergency practice. Hannah won the 2020 Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Impact Award, the 2019 CEVA Vet of the Year and finalist in the 2019 Petplan Vet of the Year, because of her slightly concerning - no scratch that - alarming passion for chronic pain management, geriatrics and musculoskeletal health and rehabilitation, as seen in Canine Arthritis Management (CAM) an online education and support service for owners of arthritic dogs and professionals.

Bit and bridle fitting- the last piece of the puzzle presented by Amy Burr21.09.23 19.30-20.30
Online CPD This online CPD event is open to those who would like to learn about bit and bridle fitting and is presented by Amy who has a BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Physiotherapy and is currently completing an MSc in Equine Performance, Health and Welfare. She has worked with everyone from happy hackers to International dressage riders and promotes a ‘one team’ approach to horse welfare. Amy is one of the founding Directors of The Association of Professional Bit and Bridle Fitters. The organisation was formed to provide a Gold Standard fitter directory and has been featured in Horse and Rider, Horses and People and Intelligent Horsemanship Magazines, as well as being seen at the Horses Inside Out Conference 2023. www.APBBF.org This is not a course to certify practitioners. Techniques taught are to improve current skills. The course will cover: An overview of current research, including the following: -Anatomy of the mouth and its relation to a well-fitting bit -Identifying a correctly fitting bridle -Tell-tale musculoskeletal and postural signs of badly fitting bits/ bridles -The biomechanics of bitting- such as laterality in rein contact T&Cs apply. |
