Prior to completing my PGDip Veterinary Physiotherapy at The University of Nottingham, I obtained my BSc (Hons) Equine Therapy and Rehabilitation. I have several years experience working at an equine rescue centre, as well as a few years volunteering at the same centre. This is where I first observed a veterinary physiotherapy appointment and knew I wanted to follow that path. During my undergraduate degree, I completed several work experience placements with both small and large animals; these ranged from veterinary practices, hydrotherapy centres, equine massage therapists and veterinary physiotherapists.
Milly Softley, Softley Veterinary Physiotherapy** I am a PGDip-qualified Veterinary Physiotherapist providing evidence based physiotherapy for both dogs and horses across Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent, Cheshire and Derbyshire. Animal welfare is at the heart of every appointment, with the aim of helping each patient move better, feel better and enjoy the best possible quality of life. I work closely with veterinary surgeons and owners to deliver tailored treatment and rehabilitation programmes that support each animal's individual needs. I have a particular interest in behavioural cases, having worked extensively with rescue animals where pain and behaviour often go hand in hand. I am passionate about identifying and addressing musculoskeletal discomfort that may be contributing to behavioural changes, while always considering the animal's physical and emotional wellbeing. Whether supporting recovery from injury, managing chronic conditions or optimising performance and mobility, I am committed to providing compassionate, professional care that helps animals thrive.
