NAVP AGM 2023 |
Date: 15 March 2023 7pm
Venue: Online
|
Once again this year, the AGM will be held online via Zoom. The AGM is open to full and graduate members but only full members can vote on agenda items and nominations.
Agenda items and executive nominations need to be emailed to Laura by March 1st.
Only Full members may nominate or vote members onto the executive*. All current Executive Officers will stand down at the AGM (as per the Constitution). They may be re–elected by the membership or new members may be elected/added.
*To be nominated for the Executive a person must have had 3 years as a Full NAVP member (Constitution Section 5.5.2). When sending in nominations for Executive Officers you must firstly make sure you have asked the nominee if they wish to stand, and their acceptance to be nominated must be forwarded to Laura for the records, and your nomination will also need to be seconded (also send to Laura please) by another NAVP Full Member.
Executive members are expected to actively help with any association business and will be part of sub committees dealing with association business. They have to attend a minimum of 2 meetings per year, although these are now done via Zoom so no travelling is necessary. The work carried out by Executive members is unpaid, although expenses are recoverable on receipt of an invoice.
